Immersia Labs

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 4, 2026

Immersia Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) built the Infinite Reading app as a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided by Immersia Labs and is intended for use “as is.”

This page explains what Infinite Reading does with your information, on Android phones and tablets, on Android XR headsets, and on iPhone and iPad.

Information Collection and Use

Infinite Reading is designed to be a private, local reading experience. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personally identifiable information. The books you import (EPUB and PDF files), your library, your reading positions and your preferences stay on your device. We do not have servers that host or process your personal files or reading data. The app has no accounts, no ads and no tracking.

Scenes Chosen on Your Device

To choose a scene that matches what you are reading, the app compares the text of the page you are on with its scene collection, using a model that runs entirely on your device. The text of your books never leaves your device.

What the App Downloads

The app downloads its scene collection (a list of scenes and their pictures) from public file hosts: GitHub (github.io and githubusercontent.com) and the jsDelivr content delivery network. These are ordinary downloads, like opening a web page: as with any request over the internet, the host can see your device’s IP address. The requests carry nothing about you or your books, and the app uploads nothing.

Links in the app, such as the one to Project Gutenberg, open in your browser; those websites have their own privacy policies.

Camera and Sensor Data (Android XR)

On an Android XR headset, Infinite Reading uses the device’s built-in spatial features, including hand tracking for gesture controls (for example, swiping in the air to turn pages) and the system’s look-and-pinch input.

Log Data and Analytics

If the app crashes, we may receive standard, anonymized crash reports: from Google Play on Android, and from Apple on iPhone and iPad if you have chosen to share analytics with app developers. These reports may include information such as your device model, operating system version, the app’s configuration and the time and date of the crash. They contain no personally identifiable information and are used only to find and fix bugs.

Third-Party Services

The app does not use any third-party services that collect information to identify you. Apart from the file hosts above, it relies only on the app stores, Google Play and the Apple App Store, for distribution and crash reporting.

Children’s Privacy

The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
