Infinite Reading is a quiet place to read your own books, with scenes that follow the story and soft ambient sound. It is made by Immersia Labs for iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, and Android XR.

Common Questions

How do I add my own books? Tap + on the shelf and choose an EPUB or PDF. You can also send a book to Infinite Reading from another app with Open with or Share. Books must be DRM-free: books bought in stores that lock them to their own app cannot be opened.

Which PDFs work? PDFs with text become books, with chapters from their bookmarks. On iPhone and iPad, scanned PDFs are read with on-device text recognition too. The app tells you before importing a PDF.

How are scenes chosen? As you read, the app compares the page with its scene collection, entirely on your device. Choose Automatic, pick a scene yourself, or choose No environment for plain paper. Dynamic pacing follows the text closely; Subtle changes less often.

Do I need the internet? No. Your books, 14 scenes and the ambient sounds work offline. Other scenes download the first time they appear.

Where are my books kept? On your device only. There is no account, and nothing you read is sent to us. See our Privacy Policy.

A book looks wrong or will not open. Email us the book’s title and what you see. If you can, tell us where the book came from, so we can find the cause.
